Notes for the Users
It might seems that there is many duplicates, but every engine is unique and configured according to their official specs. For example, there is actually 2 differents ISX15 600 ratings, with different torque values and curves. Also duplicates engines was the only way to replicate some of the options packages for Volvo engines (such as the differents Eco-Torque and XE packages).
Data concerning engines can be found on my data archive for technical data, please see SCS forum for more information.
Please verify with manufacturers documentation for the maximum input torque possible through the transmissions.
Concerning Detroit Diesel, please note that trying to pair a transmission other than a DT12 with the Integrated Detroit Power engines (DD13 400 and DD15 400) WILL CRASH THE GAME. I have yet to find a way to make the engine switch automatically if you try to put a transmission you are not supposed to on that engine, as such be warned. (I did try the way the vanilla game is setted up, and it just crash the game).
Note that IRL, the following transmissions and ratios are to be used with Integrated Detroit Power engines :
DD13 400 : DT12 OA with a ratio of either 2.85 or 2.64 (default ratio 2.64)
DD15 400 : DT12 DA with a ratio of either 2.28 or 2.16 (default ratio 2.16)
There is no reason to believe that you cannot swap between the two transmissions (chances are that you probably can configure the DD13 400 with a direct drive and the DD15 400 with a overdrive), but the defaults will be kept that way
Concerning the Volvo XE Packages, note that any Volvo engine with the XE mention will be restricted to the Volvo i-Shift transmission on very specific ratios. In real life, the XE Package is NOT available outside of these ratios. Also note that you should use 275/80R22.5 tires (I highly reccommend Smarty SCR tire and wheel mod). Also since I’ve included two generation of i-Shift transmission to go with the 2 generation of Volvo engines, GHG2014 only use the D generation of transmission, and
GHG2017 engines use the F generation. Note that the differential ratios for the XE packages are the following :
2.28 (D13 Super Direct GHG2017, AT2612F, MAX 80K lbs GCW)
2.39 (D13 Super Direct GHG2017, AT2612F, MAX 80K lbs GCW)
2.47 (D13TC GHG2017 ATO2612F, MAX 80k lbs GCW)
2.64 (D11,D13, D13TC and D16 GHG2014/2017 ATO2612F/ATO3112F, MAX 80k lbs GCW)
2.67 (D13 GHG2014/2017 ATO2612F, MAX 80k lbs GCW)
2.80 (D11 GHG2014/2017 ATO2612F, MAX 80k lbs GCW)
3.21 (D16 GHG2014/2017 ATO3112F, MAX 143k lbs GCW)
Do note that when you select a XE package engine, it will autoselect the most appropriate transmission with the appropriate differential ratio. I mention these ratios in case you would prefer a higher ratio while staying conform with the specs.
Also, for GHG2017 engines, you can swap the transmission for one with crawlers, which will change the Max GCW from 80k to 110k for the D13 and D11.
On Cummins side, note that SA engine (SmartAdvantage) are to be used with Eaton Integrated Transmissions. If you are using the SmartAdvantage powertrain, those are usually specced for a max GCW of 80k lbs. Those that also have the ST or ST2 suffixes (SmartTorque and SmartTorque2) are also available with other transmissions and can be specced for higher GCW.
If you select a SA engine, it will automatically select an Eaton Integrated Transmission Overdrive with a 2.64 final ratio. Other ratios available are :
Eaton Integrated Transmission overdrive : 2.78 or 2.64
Eaton Integrated Transmission Direct Drive : 2.26, 2.28 or 2.39
Do note that other ratios ARE available for SmartAdvantage in real life (I did hear of companies in the rockies using am overdrive coupled with a 2.93 ratio instead), but uncommon.
Do note that for now, for the X15, I will stay on the GHG2017 models, but I might bring the GHG2021 engines in a future update. (might is very important here, especially since the higher power Performance Ratings were transferred to the Productivity series, which annoy the hell out of me), but if I do I will need to see on how to do it, I cannot replace the X15 Efficiency 2017 easily with the 2021 version, since they replaced the SmartAdvantage ratings with the single-EX ratings (those with a EX ratings are only available with an Eaton Endurant), which complicate things a lot for me since it means that many engines would be in double.

How to install ETS2 mods or ATS Mods
In Euro Truck Simulator 2 it’s easy to install mods. You just need to download mod from here, copy/unzip files into: “My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod” folder or if you play ATS please install mods to: “My Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod” folder. To unzip files you can use: WinRAR or 7zip. After that you need to activate the mods you want to use.
